VULNERABLE POST: 😬

Updated: Mar 1

I was a late bloomer. I got my first period the summer after I turned 14. I guess you could call me lucky. But my first experience with Aunt Flo's visit was… unforgettable. Those cramps – the deep, all-encompassing, lower abdominal aching that spreads to your tailbone and upper legs. I just didn’t want to move. Oh wait, but I had to run to the bathroom, I was leaking. 🙄

Even though I have now received mounds of knowledge from well-known nutritional and health experts on how to heal symptoms naturally, I know what it’s like to struggle with an unpredictable and harsh menstrual cycle because for years that struggle was real for me. 25+ years of the awful cramps for 3 days EVERY month, PLUS other social-life-reducing symptoms of uncontrollable moods, headaches, sugar cravings, spotting, HEAVY flow, arriving late, arriving early, sore boobs, acne… and not being able to pull-through without lots of Advil.

I know what it’s like to wake up and not want to leave the house because the cramps are so bad and the flow is just too heavy, or I don't want to talk to my husband because nothing nice would come out of my mouth.

To lay down at night feeling GUILTY that I took my crabbiness out on my family, and feeling like hubby didn’t understand what I was going through. It got so bad that I was screaming at my kids for no reason. So, I know how painful it can be, AND I know it’s a LOT worse for MANY other women. Please believe me when I say it’s NOT NORMAL.

And now I know what it’s like to be on the other side of it. To have predictable cycles and NO PMS symptoms, and to have a life where I wake up and say, “Well that went by fast!” And I go to bed at night feeling grateful that I now live this lifestyle that allows me to be free from distressing symptoms. 🙏

The best part is, the difficult but necessary actions I took to regulate my monthly cycle also affected my other health issues (asthma, eczema, allergies, acne, bloating and poor digestion, poor sleep, imbalanced hormones, etc.)!

And, I want this kind of life for everyone!

That’s why I do the work that I do. And, even though there’s a part of me that thinks I’m sharing too much about my life’s work this week (as I shared earlier, I’m in a 5-Day challenge...) my deeper truth is that I care way too much about helping people get a torture-free period to let that fear stop me. Because I know how agonizing it can be when you have debilitating symptoms. And I have dedicated myself to helping MANY people get LONG-TERM RELIEF.

If you, or anyone you know, struggles with literal pain-in-the-butt periods, please drop a gif below or PM me, I would love to offer you a free Painless Period Discovery Session so that I can help you start moving toward a thriving and healthy monthly cycle. Life is too short to spend it suffering for days each month. I’d be honored to support you (or someone you care about). LMK below if I can be of service to you or someone you care about.

Amanda 💚
